March 21, 2012 Ohio State University's College of Pharmacy is joining forces with a university in Taiwan on a project to develop "diagnostic markers and therapeutic agents" for pancreatic cancer. OSU signed a memorandum of understanding with National Cheng Kung University, in southern Taiwan, on Tuesday, according to a press release. "The goal of the cooperating institutions is to promote scientific research and enhance understanding and collaboration between the faculties and students of NCKU College of Medicine and affiliated hospital, and OSU College of Pharmacy," according to the release. In August, the two universities will establish a satellite laboratory for pancreatic cancer research at National Cheng Kung's cancer center.
