咖啡因 有助增強記憶【Upaper╱中央社】 2014.01.14 09:39 am 最新研究顯示,咖啡因可增強記憶,學生或許可在K書時喝咖啡或茶。美國約翰霍普金斯大學研究團隊發現,咖啡因可加深特定記憶,期間至少維持到記憶形成後的1天。研究團隊請73名受試者,觀看植物、籃子、薩克斯風、海馬等圖片,然後半數攝取200毫克的咖啡因,等同2杯高濃度的濃縮咖啡,另半數攝取安慰劑。實驗團隊分別在1小時、3小時與24小時後採集唾液,測量咖啡因程度。隔天2組受試者再瀏覽另1組圖片,有些一樣、有些是新的、有些有點類似。實驗者說,受試者在分辨新舊圖案都表現很好,但攝取咖啡因的組別在判別「類似」圖片時,表現更好。研究團隊表示,「透過要大腦做較複雜的判別,咖啡因似乎可強化這種過程。」【2014/01/14 Upaper

Post-study caffeine administration enhances memory consolidation in humans

Sun, 01/12/2014 - 12:00am Nature Neuroscience. It is currently not known whether caffeine has an enhancing effect on long-term memory in humans. We used post-study caffeine administration to test its effect on memory consolidation using a behavioral discrimination task. Caffeine enhanced performance 24 h after administration according to an inverted U-shaped dose-response curve; this effect was specific to consolidation and not retrieval. We conclude that caffeine enhanced consolidation of long-term memories in humans.
