Stealth-mode surgical device maker raises $6.5 million

A surgical device startup developing a low-power, tissue-sealing device has raised $6.5 million.  JustRight Surgical LLC's CEO Russell Lindemann confirmed the funding but declined to provide details on the product or any upcoming milestones, and instead said the company wanted to remain in stealth mode a little while longer.  According to a 2011 patent application, JustRight Surgical's device is smaller in size than previous devices and uses radio-frequency energy to seal blood vessels in "micro-surgical procedures, difficult to access anatomy or pediatric general surgery."  The Boulder, Colorado startup previously raised $4.2 million in 2010, according to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission documents.
