Open data for mobile health services

This project seeks to establish an open development business model focused on mobile health services.   As a pilot/demonstrator project in the run op to the OKFestival it will show how open source, open data and open business models can support a development outcome.   Mobile services are primarily about linking – connecting people to information, services, and people who can help. If there are not adequate services, systems, or trained people to connect to, then mobile services are weak.''   This proposal aims to establish a set of open data services that link to people and services who can support mhealth.   Through these data services the project will build a business case to support the project.    The project focuses on the following Millennium Development Goals:    MDG 3 on empowering women   MDG 4 on reducing child mortality   MDG 5 on improving maternal health   MDG 6 combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases.    The outputs of the project and members of the project team will present their findings and knowledge to the open development stream at: http://opengovernmentdata.okfnpad.org/open-development-okfest2012
